Vertical Neigbourhood
Project: Third year Studio- Second Semester
Year: 2017
Professor: Arch Yohushoua' Gutman and Arch Ran Shivtai
The Project proposes a new planning system that combines between the quantitative data of the housing market in Kafr Aqab, a Palestinian neighborhood in East Jerusalem situated beyond the seperation wall, and the qualities of the Palestinian neighborhoods structure and their expansion in East Jerusalem. This planning system ,which is expressed in a tower shape building ,is based on a basic unit-”the family cluster”, a unit which -thanks to the structure of the building, is able to expand and grow horizontally.
